The summer course in San Quirico d’Orcia (Tuscany) is an intensive five-day program combining advanced musical training, daily concerts, and shared artistic life in the historic center of the town.
Participation is limited to 12 active participants and 10 auditors.
Admission for active participants is subject to selection.
The total fee for active participants is €370 (including shared accommodation).
The total fee for auditors is €170 (accommodation NOT included)
Applications must be submitted by 15 June at 23:59 (Italian time, CET).
Applications received after this deadline will not be considered, or once the maximum number of participants has been reached.
The organizing committee reserves the right to select the most qualified applicants based on the submitted recordings.

You will immediately receive a confirmation email acknowledging your application.
Upload an audio or video recording.
The secretariat will review your materials.
If accepted, you will receive an official confirmation email.
To secure your place:
The enrollment fee of €170 must be paid within 10 days of acceptance.
After 10 days, unpaid places will be offered to candidates on the waiting list.
Please do not transfer any payment before receiving official acceptance.
To apply as auditor:
Complete the online application form.
In the designated field, indicate that you are applying as an Auditor Participant.
Submit the form.
After submitting the form, you will immediately receive an automatic email confirming that your application has been received.
Please wait for a second email from the course secretariat confirming your place and providing payment instructions.
Your registration will be finalized upon payment of the enrollment fee.
For active participants, the course fee includes:
Accommodation in shared rooms
Lodging in facilities located near the historic center of San Quirico d’Orcia
Participants who wish to arrange independent accommodation (single room with private facilities) are asked to indicate this preference in the application form.
A list of available options will be provided.
All participants are kindly requested to specify in the application form whether they intend to use the shared accommodation option.
Please note that choosing independent accommodation does not entitle participants to a reduction of the course fee.

Auditor participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
After confirmation of enrollment, auditors will receive a list of recommended hospitality facilities in San Quirico d’Orcia and surrounding areas.
The secretariat will be available for general guidance if needed.
Participants (Effective and Auditors) may join two daily shared meals at a reduced rate: €15 per day

This flexible formula allows participants freedom to dine independently when desired.

09:00–13:00 — Morning lessons
13:00–14:00 — Lunch break
14:00–19:00 — Afternoon lessons
19:15–20:15 — Dinner
21:00 — Evening concert (in church)
Lesson Structure Details
Individual Lessons – Marco Mencoboni
Individual lessons take place in the church, on harpsichord and organ.
With 12 active students and 6 hours (360 minutes) of individual teaching per day, each student is entitled to:
30 minutes of individual lesson per day.
Group Lessons – Richardus Cochlearius
Group sessions take place in the small municipal theatre and are held on harpsichord.
Auditors are welcome to participate, with priority given to active students.

Detailed instructions will be sent to enrolled students.
The station is easily reachable from Firenze Santa Maria Novella.
The most convenient airport is Florence Airport.
Recommended route for air travel:
1) Arrival at Florence Airport
2) Transfer to Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station
3) Train to Chiusi–Chianciano Terme
4) Organized transfer to San Quirico d’Orcia

Lessons conclude on Friday 17 July with the final concert at 21:00.
Departure is possible from Saturday morning.
For participants using the transfer service:
Transfer to Chiusi–Chianciano Terme station
Approximately between 13:00 and 14:00
Participants booking return flights are advised to choose an evening departure (after 18:00) from Florence Airport.
